_________________Skills and Experience____________________
Since the year 2000 I have worked in industry creating 3D and other digital content to fulfil the need for pre-visualisation and visual marketing. In more recent years (2003 onwards) I have expanded my skillset to include Avid video editing and have naturally taken on creative directorial tasks in my position as a senior artist.
To date I have worked on 3D television productions with the BBC as a freelancer, created a range of corporate video and 3D pre-visualisations for blue-chips such as BT Retail, BT Wholesale, BT Plc, Zurich Financial Services, AXA and Barclays to name but a few. I have created numerous 3D visualisations for architects and interior designers and am currently head of the graphics department for the second time in my career.
My creative energy allows me to remain highly motivated and explorative at all times and is the backbone for a constant stream of new ideas and desire for creative diversity.
I thoroughly enjoy all technical aspects of 3D including character rigging, scripting, modelling, photo-real lighting and rendering. I utilise both Maya and 3D Studio Max as my primary tools. For detailing, sculpting and texturing I also use Z-brush.
Graphic design and layout for print have always been integral within my roles.
In my spare time I paint with oils and acrylic, sketch character
designs and enjoy both still photography and filming.
My degree is in (BSc) Hons Engineering Product Design.
