Skills & Experience:
General Manager
Prior to managing Sweerts & Vaas, the GM was a Vice President of
Corporate Development of the New Jersey Nanotechnology Consortium
(NJNC) a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent Technologies, Inc.
Held position on Wall Street in M&A and Corporate Finance. In 1999, the GM joined Lucent
Technologies. While there he was responsible for acquisitions,
divestitures, spin-outs, joint ventures, fund raising, as well as
strategic planning for key business units.
He is a founding member of the NJNC
Board as well as the New Jersey Association for Corporate Growth. He
currently sits on the board for W2bi, as well as on the advisory
committees for Tradequest International, Inc. and CIT.
Financial and Operations Principal
With over two decades of senior level business experience he has a
track record of performance in both turn around and start-up situations.
He
was co-founder of the first electronic bond 'exchange' to receive a SEC
no-action letter to trade as an alternative trading system. He helped
raise over $16 Million from institutional investors, which included the
leading .com venture fund, Softbank. He was the Head of National
Accounts for the Brokerage Division of ADP where he was responsible for
sales and marketing to the nation's largest banks, broker/dealers and
insurance companies. He also held Vice President level positions at
Citibank.
Vice President
She is a strategic leader with a diverse experience marketing
image-driven products. Prior to joining Sweerts & Vaas, she was
Vice President for a privately held jewelry company. She was
responsible for developing an initial business plan to create a
portfolio of branded jewelry lines.
She
began her career in 1990 as a research analyst for A.C. Nielsen, the TV
ratings company. After fine tuning her analytical skills she moved into
Marketing, eventually handling Profit and Loss responsibilities. Over
the years, she has held positions of increased responsibility in the
Beverage, Food, Tobacco, as well as Health & Beauty Industries.

Vaas provides include business plan development, valuations and balance
sheet restructuring.

Sweerts & Vaas understands how a business can be at a disadvantage
without the necessary cash to handle working capital needs. Access to
the appropriate financial resources and human capital are critical
elements for a small business. Sweerts & Vaas functions as the
in-house Corporate Development or Treasury Department initiating and
executing on raising capital, joint ventures, partnerships and merger
and acquisition transactions.
Post Merger Integration
Sweerts
& Vaas is familiar with the need to generate shareholder value from
an acquisition. The company has experience in identifying and
