Skilled Mechanical Engineer Looking for Part Time SolidWorks
and ProEngineer CAD and Engineering Consulting work
I am looking for an opportunity to help your business meet
their CAD and engineering needs. I'm a
mechanical engineer with extensive CAD experience in bringing complex
assemblies from concept to production for Aerospace and Commercial
companies. With installed versions of
SolidWorks and ProEngineer I have the flexibility to produce models and
drawings as required by whichever CAD package you are currently using.
I have worked for a leading manufacturer of aircraft sensors
for commercial, business and military applications where robust designs are
coupled with extremely high accuracy sensing capability. In this position I designed and modeled parts
that were investment cast, machined, and stamped from various metal
alloys. From working on highly regulated
military contracts I have in depth working knowledge of designing equipment
writing specification to pass the toughest levels of environmental testing as
described by MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160D.
My experience also includes working as a design engineer for
a nationally recognized manufacturer of consumer appliances. I designed products manufactured by Asian
vendors out of injection-molded polymers, cast metal alloys, and various other
techniques for manufacturing heating elements.
From this experience I am familiar with the UL requirements for consumer
products and designing products that meet these requirements.
From a manufacturing standpoint I have a relationship with a
Chinese sourcing company that can help to take the design to fruition if you
are interested. No job is too small, I’m
looking for a small amount of work: Modeling and Drafting for Engineering
Change Orders, or project support would be perfect.
