Position Summary: Responsible for Translation of English Oil & Petroleum Industry articles into Spanish, Data Base Information and English assistance to Engineers.
- Provide language/linguistic skills to convert highly technical documents from English to Spanish with translations that are accurate to transmit the main idea.
- Translate and localize creative copy to retain the essence of the intended messaging.
- Responsible for English assistance to Engineers and office personal.
- Work closely with engineers to understand Oil industry vocabulary.
- Assist, as requested in researching information about petroleum industry.
Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of Translating English/Spanish document experience.
- Superb command of Spanish and English language and grammar.
- Intimate familiarity with both cultures.
- Extensive knowledge of vocabulary in both languages.
- Fluent in English as well as command of Spanish.
- Ability to edit and review other translations.
