Summary: Writing comes as naturally to me as breathing. I have 6 months experience editing, 2 years review writing, countless years poetry writing (and being published as a poet) however, as a teacher (having had 8 years experience) the editing part comes as part and parcel of teaching languages. I taught English and French to High School pupils. I'm an experienced interpreter / translator and Educational Review Writer who has also published a SATS Study Aid (Shakespeare's The Tempest) for Zigzag Education in Bristol.
Skills & Experience: Teaching languages, interpreting, content writing, editing, mostly in digital format.
Detailed Service Description: I offer a varied service as I've outlined above. Please ask if you have a specific project in mind, I am open to diversity and am willing and flexible to accommodate your future projects, since my mind generally races ahead of me anyway!
Pls see included a page from the GLOSSARY OF TERMS which I helped recreate for a Study Aid for The Tempest by Williams Shakespeare (For Zigzag Education)
We will not hand a rope more – we will stop working at the ropes
So hap – so happened / so chanced
Cheerly - heartily / take heart
Methinks he hath – I think he has
No drowning mark upon him; his complexion is perfect gallows – judging by his appearance he was meant to be hanged. This is also a reference to the proverb “A man who is born to be hanged will never be drowned”
Make the rope of his destiny our cable, for our own doth little advantage – the fate to which he is destined (that of being hanged as they’d suggested previously) will have the advantage that if he as boatswain is aboard, it would inadvertently save them all.
Bring her to try with main course – use the mainsail to steady the ship
A plague upon this howling! – here the boatswain condemns the noise that Alonso them are making and says its noisier than the storm or any of the crew who has the right to be calling out to each other in an attempt to avoid drowning.
Cur – worthless dog
I’ll warrant him for drowning – I’ll guarantee him against drowning
As leaky as an unstanched wench – as leaky as a girl menstruating

Velvet Vice by Dalene West
I've heard some say that in this life
Nothing is guaranteed
Except for death and taxes we
Cannot of that be freed
And yet, in retrospective pause
I marvel as I muse
A force floods in I cannot shake
Nor can I it refuse
It speaks in tongues all humankind
Can understand at ease
Its voice resounds through walls of ice
Yet whispers on a breeze
(First half of the poem only...)
