I have skills in teaching art, art directing, Graphic Design, an Illustration. I have close to 30 years in the art field.
My main strength is teaching and love working with anyone that is interested in drawing.
I have owned and run successfully for over ten years, THE GRAPHIC CAT SCHOOL OF ILLUSTRATION AND CARTOONING.
I have also taught for 3 years at the Conestoga Recreational Center. I have done mini art lessons in many schools, some of which involved children with special behavioral needs. I have also taught inmates in prison, and still am teaching privately at my house, I also am teaching over the internet for those students that really would like to learn how to draw, but cannot make it to my house.
I have an extensive amount of knowledge in this field, which enables me to teach and do layout, graphic design, cartooning, and realistic Illustration. My students and I use such mediums as graphite pencils, color pencils, pen, ink, watercolor, and airbrush.
I am an accomplished Illustrator and cartoonist, and have been published in several magazines.
I have drawn for Leatherneck Gazette, and worked hand in hand with a gag artist for several years. I also have done greeting cards for White Horse Studios., working as a cartoonist in many parties, and doing portrait work of both human and animals. I have many years of experience doing a variety of graphic designs such as logos, ads, brochures, and P.O.P for a diversity of customers, such as, Realtors, Doctors, Hair dressers, feed stores and Veterinarians.
I am in the process of publishing a book on perspective, which required working with Word 2000. Illustrator 8, and 10 the latest Photoshop, and PageMaker.
Other programs that I am familiar with are: Works, Print Shop, some in Corel Draw, Painter 3-D, Photo Shop, 5.5, Quark XPress and Grafix. At present, I am learning to build my web pages using Fireworks 4, & Dream Weaver 4.I
my main purpose in life is to teach SUCCESS! and in the many years of working with students, I have had the pleasure of teaching comic book students how to develop their characters, plot line, and ideas. This has led to their school teachers calling me and asking me for my help in developing their students ability to express themselves verbally and in written form. I have also helped my adult students write and illustrate their children’s books
