As an experienced creative writer of fiction, I specialize in taking clients’ story concepts and building them into reality. The finished stories are high quality, publishable manuscripts.
This package is for a single short story up to 3000 words in length. I will create your story based on your concept, which you can deliver to me in writing, or over the phone.
Included in the package is the following:
1. A rough draft.
This is the initial story that I have pulled from your concept. As a rough draft it has plenty of room for adjustment so that it will fit your vision.
2. A comprehensive revision.
The initial story will be thoroughly picked apart and revised into a more streamlined whole. Any large plot changes, character refitting, or other major adjustments are covered in this revision.
3. A light edit.
Once you have considered the revision, this edit will make any small adjustments necessary. It will also act as a copy-edit that corrects and spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other minor errors that may exist in the manuscript. Finally, if the story is required in a specific format, this edit will reformat the story as required.
I strive to make my stories the best that they can be. If you have any concerns about the story, or would like to see changes, I am always open to suggestions, and will do my best to incorporate them into the text.
The entire process generally takes a month to complete. This is because to properly revise a story, I need to let it sit for a while to allow me to return to it with a fresh perspective. While it may take a while, I can cover multiple stories through the month and offer a discounted program for those who require more than one story.
