My
name is Sabine Duwe, I was born and brought up in Germany, I am 42, and married with
two daughters. My husband is Italian and my married name is Di Biase. We live
in Italy
in Abruzzo where I moved to in 1994
After
I finished grammar school in 1984, I did a two year practical and theoretical
apprenticeship in publishing (“Verlagskauffrau”) in Nuremberg at the publishing house of Gong Verlag GmbH & Co. KG. I then
worked for eight years in the publishing and printing world, including 4 years
in one of the biggest publishing houses, Axel Springer Verlag AG.
In
the last 14 years I have worked as a German teacher, translator and interpreter
(Italian<>German) and in 2004
I decided to officialize my position by starting a course for a specialized
language degree at the University of Pescara “G. D’Annunzio”, where I expect to
graduate in the academic year 2008/2009.
I
thoroughly enjoy my work as a translator and ensure the quality of the finished
text, taking care to meet the agreed deadlines. I have translating experience
in many fields, such as culture and tourism, legal and commercial documents,
technical manuals and texts, internet sites, etc. As an interpreter I have
participated in trade shows, congresses and round tables.
I am
interested in working with companies and agencies that need the services of a
freelance German-Italian translator/interpreter who takes pride in the
professional quality of any job she undertakes.
