Skills & Experience: Having always had a Passion for music, Darin Scott took it upon himself to pursue a career in the Audio Industry. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Film / Video from Columbia College, in Chicago. After graduating with a concentration in Audio for Visual Media (Post-Production), he then went on to work as an Audio / Visual Specialist, Soundboard Operator, and Post-Audio Engineer. Darin’s mainstaywas at Harris Bank’s corporate office, setting up Audio / Visual conferences. However, his thirst for a more articulate platform, involvingsound, is what led him to also try his hand as a Soundboard Operator for musical theatre, Sound Designer for film, and Voice-over artist.

Darin first landed a spot with Porchlight Music Theatre, mixing sound for the Classic Broadway hit, “Gypsy”. From there, he joined forces with the Strawdog Theater Company, working on one of their many unique productions, “Wireless Program #5”. The show consisted of multiple voice-over talents, a 5-piece band, as well as two Foley artists, and helped prepare him for his next upcoming theater project. Redmoon Theatre landed Darin as Soundboard Operator for the run of “The Golden Truffle". The rigorous schedule, complex sound setup, and in depth cast collaboration, is what made this by far his most challenging, yet most rewarding theater sound endeavor to date.

Darin has also freelanced as a Sound Designer for two Independent Short Films. "The Forgotten West" screened at The Siskel Center in Chicago during the 2006 Black Harvest Film Festival, aired on BET's Best Shorts Program in May '07, as well as FOX TV in February '08. "Jakob and the Angels" was written by Audrey Niffenegger, who is best known for her N.Y. Times best seller, "The Time Travelers Wife".
